Offshore Produced Water Treatment Market Worth $4.3 Billion Over Next Five Years
According to new research unveiled today by OTM Consulting and Douglas-Westwood, the total market opportunity for final stage produced water treatment systems is approximately $4.3 billion over the next five years. “The Produced Water Gamechanger Report 2010 – 2014,” also reveals that the market for topside produced water reinjection, which is emerging as the preferred method of water management, is around $9.8 billion over the same period.

AUV market to total $2.3 billion over the next decade
Global expenditure on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) will total $2.3 billion over the next decade according to new research released today by business analysts, Douglas-Westwood. The company’s latest groundbreaking report, The World AUV Market Report 2010-2019, also highlights that that just under half of AUV expenditure between 2010 and 2019 ($1.1billion) will come from the military sector.
Australian investment to drive global LNG expenditure to $32 bn per annum by 2014
Business energy analyst company Douglas-Westwood predicts Australasia will be the main driver in global LNG expenditure over the next five years – contributing to a 10 year high of $32 billion per annum by 2014. This is just one of many key expenditure forecasts revealed in the company’s, “World LNG Market Report 2010-2014,” which was launched today. The report suggests that much of the sector’s growth will be driven by an abundance of promising liquefaction projects in Australia, which are scheduled to come onstream from 2015.
UK Peak Energy Demand Could Outstrip Supply Capabilities
The UK’s peak electricity demand could exceed available capacity by as early as 2017, due to the planned closure of nuclear and coal power stations – and a potential short-term gap in replacement power generation solutions. MENA Drilling and Workover Expenditure Forecast to Increase $10bn by 2014
New research by energy analysts Douglas-Westwood, predicts that drilling and workover expenditure across the MENA region has the potential to increase by more than $10 billion (almost a third) to reach $27.9 billion by 2014. This is despite reduced energy demands brought about by the global recession and a curtailment in OPEC production. Annual ROV Operations Spend to Top $3.2bn by 2014
Annual oil & gas industry expenditure on work-class ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) operations is likely to reach $3.2 billion by 2014 – with African and Asia Pacific expenditure overtaking that of Western Europe in the coming years. These are amongst the findings of in the new edition of “The World ROV Market Report 2010-14,” a market study published today by energy business analysts Douglas-Westwood.
€21.6 billion to be invested in offshore wind power
Douglas-Westwood have today launched the latest edition of their World Offshore Wind Report which highlights significant growth but also the problems of fast-rising costs and the difficulties being faced in project financing. The industry is now showing the growth and market development long-promised, with record levels of capacity now under construction. Strong growth in deployment rates will be seen in the years ahead, but levels of installed capacity peak in 2011, with a small decline in 2012 and 2013.
